Yep Jim, it looks great. That hoist does look like a tight fit, just as much as it looks like the jeep barely fits too. Way to "make it fit".

Are we gonna hold Ben (superduty03) to his word that he's gonna come back out wheeling with us? I miss ya man

Knock on wood I haven't had any issues with holding air. You need to get some dual beadlocks from Dale @ Ironman Offroad.

Maybe I'll snap a pic for you.

It's actually got more clearance than it looks. I'm pretty sure my truck will fit with no problem. I don't think I could get a Tahoe or Suburban full height though. I've still got a bunch of scrap wood that needs to move which will allow a lot more movement.

Ben? yeah well............. he's been talking about wheeling with us for a long time but I think he's skeered.

Not that. I'm referring to the sidewalls that are about a tough as a beach ball.

Sure, I can share the front. One point from the get go, if you are going to go full hydro, you may want to consider a 4 link. Many say they flex better. I've never had a problem other than I want to move my sway bar to the rear to get more flex.
Seeing how I just bought your old hydro assist that is what I plan to run.

I can always make changes in the future if needed. But I am not opposed to a four link. You can do both at the same time, I will help

Actually no to both. First, it's a conventional stick built so no trusses. Just had to remove the floor overhead. No structural issues. Next, if it was a truss construction, I would have been screwed. To walk underneath, the top of the cage is almost @ 11 1/2ft. So, a truss construction @ 10 ft would have required some structural engineering and rebuild. That's one of the reasons I did conventional when I built it.

Almost John. And I agree you are almost ready.
Tonight;
Top off the oil in the t-case.
Finish clearancing one driveshaft yoke.
Check diff fluids.
Do a once over on everything else underneath.
Pull drive flanges & double check that the wheel bearings are not wet. (last 2 trips were in Canada with water)

After that;
Check all fluids topside
Install tool box
Install spare tire carrier
Install new HAM Coax & antenna
Pack a few little items.

So, if you want to bring yours over to put on the hoist next week it will be free.

I was surprised when I swapped out all my links. I had always been told that with a 3 link, the single upper link takes a beating. Mine was in the best shape of any of the links. I have no reason to change.

RE yours, there are folks out there who will charge WAY less than me. As soon as I return from KOH mine is going under the knife so my garage is booked for several months. In fact, I just subbed out a job I was going to do.

Jim, the garage looks good. Wish I had some of those tools.

I need a bigger garage first, though.
