My washer wont agitate so i pulled the front panel off and watched the motor and the transmission everything works as it should but it wont aggitate. I cant even turn the drum in the clockwise direction. the motor trys turning that way but the trans wont.

Had a similar problem, there was a coupler between the drive for the drum that shredded.

yup, usually a rubber or rubber/metal coupler between the motor/trans and drum drive, not hard to replace, just sucks to get all the sheet metal off to do it.

www.repairclinic.com, will usually show you a video "how to" and probably talk you through if you called them.

Search for the symptom on youtube and I bet you'll find it. My dryer broke, I searched the symptom and found a video about how to test it and how to replace the bad part.

getting that sheetmetal off was a pita, but once inside they do look like simple operations. lol I guess ill have to dig in and see if i can get to that coupler. The washer is a stacked kenmore unit. thanks
