It's in primer. I would have liked one more quart of primer, but this will do since I bought the parts store's last quart. There's two quarts of etch fill on there. Painting tube seems to use it up quick, especially when you are a hack like me.

I'm letting it bake off right now. I hope to put on the seam sealer in a bit and then lay down the farm implement low gloss black. I've got a gallon of that, so we will see how far I get.

Looking it over, I missed lots of spots. One more can of primer would have been nice. Waiting on seam sealer to dry (and dinner), then out to paint for the evening.

I am amazed on what a good job my respirator does. I walked without it on and was about knocked over by the fumes. I had not noticed the fumes while painting.

I wrapped up painting around 10:30. There is enough left for one more touch up coat. I see a few runs and a few light spots. I'll see what kind of shape the paint is in tomorrow morning to see if I can feather out the runs and do a touch up. Hopefully I can do that so it can cure until the 26th.

I touched up the paint on the light areas this morning. Should be dry enough tomorrow. So far, I don't think using a sprayer was any cheaper than rattle cans, so let's hope it's more durable.

The nickel and dime phase has started. Last week I sat down and made a list of stuff that we needed in the coming weeks and started ordering some of it.

JeepM715 stopped by the parts store and left with barely a handful of parts and $200 less in his pocket.

As of right now there's about $300 is switches, connectors, shrink tube, fuse panels, and relay/sockets. Luckily we have wire from the last project. Nothing costs more than $10 (except the fuse panel), but that stupid quantity button makes it add up.

Then there's the fuel pump and regulator/filter, power steering AN fittings, tune up parts, little f'n brass fittings, driveshaft parts... AAAGGHHH! And we still need coil over springs, seat belts, hub rebuilds for both axles, and some more tube.

I knew it was coming, but it still sucks.

I'm more concerned about the time left than how much you are going to spend.

I should have the trans done today/tonight. The wife is at work and I'm working on the valve body on the kitchen table. I don't want to leave my son in the house by himself while I work outside so I cleaned the parts outside, brought my work inside, and covered the table with cardboard

Lol I told her I was going to do it. She did tell me not to drop anything or ruin "her floor" that I bought and installed, but some how it's hers.
