Default Laundry

As my wife runs out the door tonight she asks me to fold the last load of laundry. Yup, the pink load. I have 3 little girls that usually only wear pink and somehow my wife can ignore the laws of the universe and fit nearly every single article of clothing they wear into this last load of laundry!

Sorting this 2 hamper sized last load is next to impossible. I resort to shirt pile, pant pile, and assorted socks/ undies pile. Why is it when I get to fold laundry every single piece of clothing is inside out?

Then I open my drawer at 6am only to find my last resort work shirt; the one with weld burn holes over my nipples and neck so loose I have to pull it up over my shoulder all day. WTF happened to my laundry? Answer: Oh, I didn't know you needed anything washed...?!? Apparently my clothes are not considered at laundry time. She washes them after all other clothes because they are too greasy, but when you bring up the fact that the next load in the washer next time is WHITE! you get ignored.

Then getting hassled about how you fold it. Being a man I only know one way to fold things. First in half, then in half again, then if it needs to be smaller, half again. Cardboard like pictures on the front of shirts present a challenge because it sometimes takes a bit of force to make it fold then keep it folded, but apparently there is a way to do a complex arm folding method that I cannot understand nor duplicate.

Phew! Vent over. Guess what I'm doing tonight!

Wad em in a ball and shove em in the drawer.

Or, maybe it's time to start teaching your girls how to do this, so there future husbands will be happy men.

Do you employ the arm fold backwards then inverse fold thirds wrist flip in half folding technique? I'm going on YouTube!

could not stop laughing. wife and boy were wondering what was going on. was laughing so hard i couldnt even get thru the the second paragraph reading it to the wife. It is exactly what i do minus the little girl clothes. reminded me of a good life lesson my dad tried to teach my brother and I as boys about helping around the house. He was teaching us to fold and put away clothes as best he knew. as soon as mother got home it was obvious he didnt do it right

Step 1: Buy wife an expensive sweater that she loves
Step 2: Wash with hot water and throw in dryer to fukc it up
Step 3: Never be asked to do laundry again.
Step 4: Beer

* Note: Repeat steps 1-2 as many times until you achieve step 3*

Laundry is easy, takes about 12 minutes /day.

-fold the shit in the dryer.
-Move shit from washer to dryer.
-put more clothes in washer.

I do one load a day for girlfriend and myself while I wait for coffee to brew in the am.

I do not do socks, they get thrown in a hamper and I find matches as needed.

Fuck folding skirts, the short skanky ones are easy but the ones than come just past the knee and are frilly get thrown at girlfriend. They are impossible!

This.

Folding is a pita.....far easier to stick it on a hanger and put it in the closet....also easier to find a specific garment when you want it

I love this post! I used get irritated when my husband didnt fold things the way I wanted. But when I tried to show him "the right way" or "my way" of doing it he would just get pissed and not do a damn thing. So after 6 years I just gave up and let him do it how he wants to. Its hard enough to get him to help so he can do it however he wants

I hate to admit it but this is my case as well. However I never planned it. I have always washed and rinsed my clothes in hot/warm water. Imo it is the only way to get clean clothes.

So one day I washed a load of my wifes blue jeans...............
