Default 93 tbi truck putting on a carb???

Here's what I'm building to give you a starting point. It's a 1993 tbi 350 with a vortec head swap a comp extreme energy cam weiand intake and shorty headers. My new cam is no longer efi friendly and I can not get anyone to tune the ecm and prom to handle more than a mild 300-325 hp 350 with keeping the tbi. I'm not looking to drop $1700 into the stand alone fast fuel ez-efi yet so for now(not permanent) I'm going to run my 600 cfm edelbrock so i dont have to worry about my ecm and fueling issues. So my question is can i still run my factory ignition without having to run a tps sensor and map sensor i'll still have the knock sensor and that stuff hooked up but I've never done this before and want to keep this distributor. Let me know if anyones done this and if it works fine. And let me know if theres anything else i'm missing to keep the ignition. I'm just trying to avoid spending money on a new H.E.I. distrubutor

Yea i've been talking with him and he's the one who gave me a few cam numbers and things i could run to max out the tbi's pottential power and in my mind its not worth spending that to only get maybe a 80-100hp max gain when doing my head swap and going a lil more radical on the cam and intake i can gain around 150-175 with going to a carb and not limit myself as much. And going to a carb saves me $120 on the carb manifold to tbi adapter i want then another $100-$150 in tuning so the carb option is looking nice plus i'd like it to clean up the engine bay a little and keep it simple.
