But honestly, for amount of money that goes into these, and with the recent years of rigs going up in flames due to fuel lines.. Don't you think you would have the pretty well protected so that in a roll it doesn't get punctured.. It is the same as the transmission lines...

ok ,all precautions should be taken. the part that broke is a factory gm part and was more of a flook ,(couldnt do it if you tried) type of thing.kind a like tims roll, all that 188 tubing and it lands on a 5'' long piece of 120 and crushes it . Not so sure its a fab thing or a driving style thing, was sitting around talking to the guys and said (people are going to start thinking this is normal)its not ,what they do is crazy! but fun to watch.

I am curious to what part it was, wonder if it was the adapter from a AN fitting to the fuel rail.

Do they run fuel shut off ball valves like in the pro-mod or ultra 4 style rigs..? Don't know if this could have been prevented with a fuel shut off..

I agree the do crazy stuff, some of their advancement's for the sport are neat, different area's of "offroad vehicles" making their way into some of these rigs are neat and it is entertaining watching them...

i asked jo jo what he would do different on his rig.he said more safety stuff. he wants a custom seat like they are running in the monster trucks and the onboard fire safety. those are the 2 things he told me at hawk pride. sure you will be seeing this on some of there rigs now after the totall loss of hillbillydeluxe.

sure you guys will still find something to bitch about after they have all the perfect safety gear. things are different down there, deal with it or dont look at the videos. thats what pirate is for.love for crawling and low gears.

I wonder if it was the same fuel rail part that broke on Derek West's car that Rusty Bray borrowed for an Ultra4 qualifier down at Harlan a few years ago. The car went up fast from what we heard when we pulled in. Nothing hit the part, it had just broken loose, something I could see on a flip like in the video.

It always sucks to see a rig go up. You can try and think up every scenario to prevent issues, but there's always something else waiting to trip you up.
