My run will have a different version of that list, but only with the addition of gummy worms. These can and will be used as fuel should the trail guide become weak and disoriented thus leading his group away from the fabulous food at the banquet. I highly suggest each of my group bring as many as humanly possible without putting to much strain on your driveline!

I have wanted one of these for a couple of years. I've asked my mom to make me one a few times but haven't seen one yet.

Huh?

I recall a Sheriff bumping into a group one time? This run is 100% legal with a DNR approved permit. The DNR knows we are there. Sometimes the local law knows, and some times it doesn't Please do NOT spread false information.

The list that Renegayed posted is only, and I repear ONLY a recommendation list. We highly recommend that you follow it. Especially when it comes to vehicle and vehicle recovery safety.

Thanks, Have a good day!

Sleds are a required safety item for participants in my group. Especially if you bring your kids. You never know when an emergency sledding hill incident will occur.

Check with your group leaders to make sure there are not specific safety requirements for a particular run - usually the requirements are for minimum equipment needs and are made available ahead of time so you don't end up as a boat anchor on one of the tougher runs, or stuck behind me for the day with your methane injected 572ci V8 and 47" sticky tires.

Like dixx007 said, I look at that list as a good reference sheet more than as the "Ten Commandments." The main goal is for a group not to be held up because of something minor that could have been taken care of prior to the event.

That said, for our runs Danimal and I look for;

-Safe / dependable vehicle with solid frame mounted recovery points.
-CB radio to avoid crashes after hills (happened to several vehicles at another run last year), for winching, general chatting, etc.
-ORV / plate / insurance- Where we ride all 3 are required.
-No alcohol in the vehicle.

Depending on the amount of snow this year Danimal & I may run an area on Friday that will require two lockers and a good winch

God dude take a pill , it was a joke , (you know sarcasm??) !! Ive been there 4 years in a row and I was there the one and only time we ran into to the Sheriff , and I know that GLFWDA and Sofo tries to alert the town of our being there , and I also am aware that they have to get permits and permission to be on certain trails from the DNR which dictates what trails we can and cannot be on due to erosion and heavy wheeling , and or even roads we cannot use to get to certain trails , I have also wrote my fair share of letters to chambers of congress to West Branch , Rose city etc , I know the rules and regulations of safety when wheeling and recovery safety when in the trails , and I'm also aware of the "Tread Lightly" rule and I abide by ALL of them 100% , you can ask ANYONE I have ever wheeled with or have been a part of there group !! I try to do what I can to support the sport whenever and however I can , so please don't ever accuse me of spreading false information !! I feel privileged to be a paying member of GLFWDA & GL4X4 and I wouldn't want to do anything to jeopardize that !! Please go have a beer and calm down , I did not mean any disrespect !! -Sorry- *Grady*

First, my jeep only looses parts it doesnt need. Second, your jeep will be broke down or stuck long before something breaks off mine

Since I will not be to far away while in the woods I will probably be able to swing over with my group to help carry said shit back to the hotel motel Quality Inn.

Don't know ill be working with but that double locker run sounds fun. I hope I don't winch as much as last year on your run. Seemed like I was running cable at every turn.

I played last year up there in the there feet they got in march. That was fun four hours to get out of the drive at the cottage clearing trees and cutting new trail in fresh snow with ice under it.

I'm almost ready. The brown truck showed up at my hoist today and dropped off a box to make the yota stop better.

A double locker run sounds like fun. I will have to swap my winch cable out with rope so my riders don't bitch that the cable is to heavy when I make 1 of them get out and pull it

Will someone loan me $600 so i can buy a spare tire. also another $1000 to have a custom bumper made to carry it. Is a 3ft cb antenna with a magnet going to pass tech as secured? With an automatic transmission are we enforcing a parking brake?

just trying to manage my list of things to get done while my transmission is out and on the floor.

I have a spare ill carry with me, if we roll together, you are more than welcome to borrow it if needed.

Also, I believe a tire chock will make due for a parking brake.
