Default Another YJ Build sbc and 1 tons

I wanted a Jeep so i bought my first Jeep. I picked up a 90 YJ.
It started as a 6 cyl 5 speed with 2" body lift and 33" tires.

Drove it for a month then my son and I started to pull it apart for a build.
As we pulled it apart we found the frame had more rust then we thought.
Bought a good frame had it sand blasted and painted.
Started mocking up axles and drive train.
Built SBC 350
700r4
np241
dana 60 front hp
14 bolt rear
Since these pics were taken a super short SYE kit was installed.

Went to lift the body off the original body and found the body was rotted worse around the rear roll bar then we had thought, plus all the normal YJ rust.

Heres where having a son that works at towing company with an awesome boss comes in handy.

Flying YJ

So off we went to pick up a newer better condition tub.

That frame is too clean to be a YJ. You find that in a museum?

I got an issue. Im running a 5.7 and using an oil cooler adapter. I think a filter will be too low and hit the fr. driveshaft. so Im looking for a relocation kit,but I can only find the ones where the lines come off the bottom. Id like them to come out the side. Anyone know of such a thing?

Could find a filter housing from a 88-98 Chevy 4x4, those put the filter 90' to the engine and spin it 45' from the block. I've seen some circle track catalogs that have a housing that puts the filter 90' to the engine.
