i finished wire wheeling my rear axle today and we got the gears set up in the front but i dont have the trutrac bolted in because the axle seals that came in my install kit were too small so i have to get those hopefully tomorrow and finish it up

well i finally figured out my axle seals today it took some looking to find the right part
it was a national 2300
apparently the late model fsj 44ss have larger "big tube" axle seals
what came in my kit on the left and what i needed on the right

the parts store wanted $30 a piece for them so i ordered a set off of ebay for $25 so they should get here on or before monday, the same time as my high steer parts
the axle build is finally starting to speed up

Nice build . I recognize some of those pics on the first page as Rouch's equipment property, am I right? If you're in Schoolcraft we're pretty close I'm in Scotts, actually live by Indian Lake but they call it Scotts here though the kids go to Vicksburg schools.

Saw you today at Bundy, I was in the big red 93'YJ with the 42" IROKS. My son was with me and we followed your group a couple times. Looks as though you guys had a good time I know we did. do you know Mike Brink and Vic Tuttle they're friends of mine and Sundowners members. Mike is the the one that told me the Sundowners would be there today but he told me he couldn't go.

I scraped a bunch of paint off, put a little wrinkle in the drivers side fender just behind the diamond plate and dented up the edge of the windsheild frame, all cosmetic stuff
I've gotta get the video from Martie

Well I have broken and replaced a rear brake line, broken and changed my serpentine belt, changed the lube in the front(it needs to be done again though it was prety nasty, changed the passenger side axle u-joint and discovered my axle seal is bad again

I haven't been motivated to work on the axles in a month but today the guys helped me figure out the flat tops and we got the drivers side all machined and tapped
