Ideas for other places to wheel
Kettering offroad club (B section) is planning on going on our semester trip November 9-11. I wanted to know if we were overlooking some good wheeling in the area, worth the trip from Flint (or Grand Rapids for me).
The main two we are voting on Bundy and Twisted Trails (nobody feels like going back to R&V this term for some reason). Badlands was thrown out there, but nobody wants to spend the coin to drive down there. Mounds is a day trip for us. Just wanted to know if there was somewhere else we could go, mix between DD wheelers, trailered rigs, and possibly some quads or dirtbikes (they always flake out time the trip rolls around though, unless we go to sivler )Thanks for the input in advance!

Both parks you mention are fun and are different from each other. I know Twisted Trails has camping on site. They have a little bit of everything, DDs to extreme rigs go there all the time. They also rent quads so I know they are ATV friendly. Hope this helps. Also, I'd call both places to see what they offer.

Saint Helen maybe? Going to be a drive, but it has stuff for everyone and hotels should be cheap this time of year.

The reason R&V got shot down was that quad and bikes are not allowed, at least that is my understanding. Ron can you clarify that for me? I personally would like to hit R&V. I got last to many times at twisted due to the lack of a map. At one point I think I ended up outside the park by mistake.

YEa SORRY due to the tightness it wouldnt be safe for the bikes and quads mixed with full size at Rocks and Valleys. Side by sides are allowed but they are to follow the low speed limit as the full size.

The place is called Kids In the Mudd. They are on facebook. It a non-profit with 70 some acres of varying trails, a sand oval, mud pit, frame twister, etc. I know he let in quads, go karts, and side by sides. Not sure on dirt bikes.

I keep forgetting St. Helens. I wonder if it is close enough for a long day trip? |
