Default Track bar, getting axle centered. Help

I installed a new front axle on the Grand Cherokee. I have the control bars hooked up and I'm trying top get the track bar hooked up but a cannot get it.

The front suspension is exactly the same as that came off. This axle is a high pinion out of a Cherokee. Everything should line up and go together but I cannot get this axle centered.

I tried putting the truck on the ground turning the wheel and putting a ratchet strap on the bumper trying to pull it over as much as possible the closest I can get it is within an inch of the bolt hole lining up. I need it to come in more but can't get it.

I could try and make the track bar longer but its kinda seized at the adjuster right not. I'm also thinking it shouldn't need to be adjusted.

Another question do you think I could drive this thing 200 yards without a track bar? I'm trying to get it closer to my house so I can do more work to it but this track bar is killing me.
