Just another 4BT build...
'96 YJ with 4bt, 46RH, Dana 300, 60's on 38's...
Well I scraped another build to go for an easier route after I picked up a super clean YJ 4 popper.
Right now it is sitting on a 4 link rear (no springs yet) and waggy front springs...stretched about 6+" in back and 2" in front.
Mechanical details right now-
New 4bt mated to a 46rh from a '95 Dodge Chummins running a Dana 300 flipped and clocked flat.
2" body lift installed until I can do major floor pan work to clear the tall trans and t-case for a FLAT belly. (right now the belly is flat with the 2" body lift).
Rear Dana 60 running 4.88's spun via a full spool and driving 35 spline chromos...disc brakes. Front late 90's F-350 SRW Dana 60...still needs to be geared, thinking a Detroit.
Have a set of 38" TSL's on aluminum wheels...lookin for a deal on some H1's...gonna run stock and NOT re-centered.
I am NOT at all happy with the stance...but gonna run it for now. REALLY wanna go LCG but gonna get driving first and then start hacking frame and body to get some better tuck in the rear. Bottom of frame is about 24" now and wheelbase is stretched about 8 or 9".
The limit for a lower center of gravity is my axle hitting the bottom of the tub (actually the 4 link bracket is making contact...and this is with a 2" body lift.

Sweet build. I would love to know how you like the 4bt. How much power you can get out and how good it is on fuel etc...
Hay, look at me... I have a signature.....
