instead of becoming a roadie, go mountain biking, you won't get hit by cars.
I want to do both, but I would probably get a hybrid sport bike or something for the road. There isn't any mountain bike trails that are close enough for me to go to after work without being stuck in traffic for an hour.

I didn't think that I would get into collecting old Opel products, but I now have 5 complete cars, plus a bunch of parts that could almost build a 6th. Sometimes it works out that way, and it's for the better. I have some kick ass rides.

MTB trails are 30+ min drive from my house. This year I picked up a cyclocross bike. I ride to the local metropark and inside the park I ride bike paths or cross-country ski trails. It's real easy to squeak in a 15-20mile ride during weekday evenings.

Back on topic- exercising for the sake of exercising.

You haven't looked very hard.

Let's assume you work in Warren. You're still with GM right?

Pontiac lake is stretching it. I drive from Troy, to Farmington to Fenton to Southfield during rush hour daily (pick two, I am not saying you can make it to all of them lol) , none of that takes more than an hour (most days). Exagerating you may have been, but you have options aplenty, some of them may be faster to ride your bike to from work, or from home rather than driving to.

Sadly, it isn't.

Don't worry about me Jim. It was probably for the better.

Evicting gang bangers from vacant properties they don't belong in.

Running a small business. I enjoy it, which is good because it takes more of my time and money than my other hobbies.

Nope, nothing like that. It's been going on a few years. She is going through some "identity crisis" thing I can't fully understand or explain. It's not nasty, we get along decent, there was no cheating, it just is what it is. All in all she became an entirely different person after the birth of our daughter 5 years ago and that person doesn't want to be in a relationship with me at this time.

Pick up a Vertical mill last week, hoping to start cutting out RC Crawler parts and selling them to the local hobby shop.
