I own a Suburban so this is not an issue. I am getting it simply to run back and forth to work and get good gas mileage while still being able to toss crap in the back of it. It has brand new tires on it and 140,000 well kept miles. 2.2 manual trans. For just under $2600 out the door, I don't know if I can go wrong.

2.2/manual is pretty good. 140k on the ecotec is a little high but still has life. $2600, worth it IMO. You can load quite a bit in one, or even sleep in the back if necessary.

my mom has an HHR, i can't see out of it, the front end clunks. It has the BIG 2.4 ecotec and it's slow as shit.

Powertrain seems reliable, so i guess if you can get over the suspension falling off and the hideous looks, go for it.
