Need help with LQ4

My truck blows. I miss my 454. What can I do to a 6.0 to increase torque? I don't care about horsepower or what valvetrain is best at 6500 rpm- How can I make some torque?

drop compression into the 8:1 range, add a 6-71 and mess with the pully's/blowoff to gain more displacement in the lower RPM and maintain it.....or build an LSX 454 and you already have everything ready to go as is.

Ive had afew of these and a custom tuned ecm should get you what you want. These have good power but they are limited by the stock programmings torque management. I went through Wheatly Performance(charlie wheatley) on my last two trucks. You can tell him exactly what you want to do and he will custom tune an ecm for your needs. He's got a website and charges about 350 for a new ecm, way better than any programmer and about the same cost. He's got a website if you want to look him up.

Definitely do a tune and remember it an engine and they all get more power from more displacement and air flow like from a cam and exhaust up to blowers and turbos. How much do you want to spend and how do you want to do it?

just a tune goes a long long way. They are set so restrictive from factory.
