Wheeling in MI

I have a house in Pentwater, MI and will be up there in July '13 and was wondering if there are any good trails, I don't mind driving I'll be there for a month. I'm mostly looking for trails that go UPward that have a view but any and all ideas are welcome. Thanks

Very few. I grew up in pentwater. The trails have been barricaded, the seasonal roads are being closed. It was saddening to see how much we have lost. I couldn't even visit the old deer camp in bitely because all the trails are shut down to motor vehicles.

If you find Jefferson road where it crosses oceana Dr and headed east you can find some decent seasonal roads that will take you out to whiskey creek, bitely, Baldwin. There are some neat old bridges, if you find the Morris near bridge, formerly Boone's bridge you can watch salmon spawning .
