If I lived some place where I had snow 5-8 months out of the year, I could see spending that kind of money on a new sled every few years. To spend that kind of money on a sled to ride in Michigan, on trails that are a 50/50 mix of dirt and snow.....Your wastng your money.
I ride my 2002 skidoo two times a year here in Michigan, if we have snow, the sled is paid for I don't care.

Every year me and my friends rent a house and some sleds in Montana or Idaho, It costs about $1500 a guy. To me this is way more worth it because every year the sleds we rent are brand new. Plus the fact that we ride in one week what "most" of the people in michigan ride in two years.

I live within day trip distance of Yellowstone and big mountains. Still not worth it no matter how cool boondocking is.

Just got to look around. Just bought a 02 skidoo mxz 800 with some bolt ons and a 03 mxz 600 for the gf and a small trailer that fits them both on it for 1500 bucks. It doesnt snow enough to make it worth buying a new 10k sled with a year long payment
