Default 99tj is it possible d30 w/44 detroit locker

I have heard rumors that my d30 can hold a d44 Detroit locker ?

Any news on this and maybe a install thread ?

I have 456 gears..

All else is stock.

The ring gear is bigger on a 44,so it cant work.I think you may be confused with putting a d35 lunch box locker in a d30. I have heard of that, but dont know how it can work because they have different spline counts.Maybe they used a ford locker in a jeep axle.
