Default New from Clarksville, MI

Hi, my name is Jack and I'm not new to vehicles, but i am new to the site and the 4x4 community. I've been building Chevy's for years, but on occasion have had my hands on some Fords and Dodges to a limited extent.

I have had a number of different vehicles from lowered street/performance trucks to 4x4's and everything in between.

I currently own a 98 Yukon that is completely stock and a '77 Chevy K10 short bed that is currently getting a spring/block lift and a body lift put on it. (I'll post pics and what not in the appropriate areas)

Just a small greeting to say hello and that my wife and I are looking for a local Grand Rapids based club where we can do some mild trail riding or some low-key mudding. Given that our trucks are fairly stock for the most part, we are not looking to go all out, but just find some fun times on the trails with others and figured this was a great place to look.

See you around,

Jack

Hopefully I won't break it, but thanks for the offer. We have our Yukon that we would take out for fun as well, but it's stock, so mild trails are for us until my old truck is done. Could be fun.

Thanks for the replies. My wife has lived in Clarksville her whole life so she might know anyone in the area as she seems to know everyone. (small town)

I like mud pits. My avatar is the only time I ever took her out to a pit. Still running rich and un tuned, borrowed some used 31" boggers from a friend and stuck to the shallow end, but never got stuck. It was quite fun I have to admit, but the cleanup is a pain in the butt.

I'd like to find some good mud tires to put on it after I get the lift on so I can go out and play again, maybe see some trails. I have never done the trail thing so I think it might be a change of pace from the typical bogs in the area.

Looking forward to it as soon as I get it done. Which I hope is soon.
