With that, I didn't think his posts in this thread were way out of line.

why does he have to insinuate anything?

My grandfather suffered from Alzheimers, he had long stretches of terribleness and an occasional good day. The last time I saw him before he passed was one of those good days....sort of.

My son, my father, myself, and my grandfather sat at the assisted living facility that specializes in Alzheimer's patients and watched Ice Age together. As the movie ended the facility workers said that it was lunch time. After spending over a good hour with my grandfather talking to him and feeling as if he recognized us all he did something I hadn't seen him do in forever. He said good bye to myself and my son, used out names, and then refused our hands to help him out of the lazy boy and up to his walker and popped up on his own. Prior to this visit he rarely recognized any of us, needed help to get out of his chair, and was suffering badly. He passed away shortly after. But he DID have some good days near the end, even after having some very horrible days.

It happens, there needn't be an explanation for it, and I didn't see him incinuate that god made it happen.

Where did he bring god into the discussion? Let me break it down for you.

It is an odd physical phenomenon though that someone could have no short term memory for 10 months then suddenly be aware of everything for 2 days. Yup, it sure is odd, but with out over exagerating there do seem to be drastically good days and terrible days.

Difficult to explain.Agree, and since I am not a doctor or a scientist I have no explanation.

But Alzheimers is not well understood and therefore difficult to develop medicine for. Which makes sense as to why we don't understand the good and bad days and how things can come and go.

No talk of god, no insinuation. I didn't see what happened after this, but unless there is more to his post that I don't see, I see no talk of god or religion.

I agree with whiterhino, deleting posts is dumb.

I did and so did a few others. He was getting preachy in other threads so that's why things were said here.

It's not a big deal. I think the part that made him mad was magic healing coffee.

Serious question:

How come its called preachy when the statement talks about God?
However when all the other opinions are stated in the same manner, its okay?

Just curious.

........if you can be curious and serious at the same time..........

because whats his nuts came in a thread where we were having a group hug over Alzheimer's and attempted to bring god into it as a way to explain why nuggets mom had a brief period of lucidity before her death. If I say I have something fun in my pants for you to suck would you assume I meant my dick or a blowpop?

You're such a fawking tool. You're the one that turned it into a God thing, and then just won't drop it.

BTW, my Grandma has it, it sucks.

Sorry to hear. That is tough to deal with. Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to think about this point in time when you are talking about raping somebody's dead mother. Notice the difference between how people treat you when you are having a tough time compared to how you treat them? Just saying......
