Sounding more like GTP or Bonneville. I like the looks of the GTP more, but the Bonneville is probably what I will be happiest with. They both look like Pontiacs

They both have the same drivetrain, just in different body platforms. Other considerations could be park avenue ( ultra is the factory s/c version) a Buick regal is the old man comfy version of the gp. "GS" is basicly Buick gtp. The regal and gp share suspension and drivetrain even most glass basicly sheet metal and interior are different. Performance parts that fit gp will fit regal. Could be the best of comfort and performance. I would take 3800 over northstar every day! Is easy to make more power than the star and be more reliable doing it.

I hate Grand Prix's actually i have a hatred for all W-bodies after 1998. Yes the Supercharged ones are decently quick (actually i'd go for the Regal GS just based on looks)

If you are buying in the 120-200K mile range expect a supercharger and or transmission to need replacement. Plus all the other GM w-body bullshit, rust, undersized brakes, horrid chassis, crappy soft suspension (Intrigue's were the stiffiest)

I like the Regals. Seem to be a little less expensive too.

Regal GS cup holders are always broken. You should find a different car.
