So sorry to hear. Remember the good times. I never knew my grandfathers. They both died the year I was born.

I lost my dad five years ago to pancreatic cancer, he was only 51. He never got to meet either of my sons.... Didn't see my wedding.... But my oldest calls him papa angle and talks about him all the time. I can tell you, it will always hurt. All you can do is be the man he taught you to be, remember the difference he made in your life, and all the good times you spent together.

My Father in law is still hospitalized from his original diagnosis of cancer, a month ago. He has had 2 chemo treatments, and his abdomen was swollen with extra fluid. They took a long needle, and Aspirated the fluid using an ultrasound, they pulled out 4 quarts. Not pints, quarts. Good news is that the fluid was not metastasized, and had no blood in the open cavities. We will find out this week if the tumor outline has changed. If it shrank at all, they might be able to keep at it and remove the tumors. He will end up with an Ostomy bag, but it beats dead. Fawk Colo/Rectal cancer.

Sorry to hear that... losing mine to lung cancer right now as well. Hospice gives him a few days. Heading out to Manchester tomorrow after work to see him for the last time most likely. Its rough...like you said I just hope its quick and as painless as possible. Prayers for you and your family.
