Ok.....Well, the power train is in the chassis......Kind of. Made a couple mounts for the motor, and have everything tacked in place. I'm going to end up using a NP231, and changing the axles to a TJ dana 30, and an 8.8 so I have to take the 300 out and order up the adapter, and input for the 231. The 231 will end up almost an inch shorter with the JB Conversions adapter, and Super Short SYE.

Jeep settled nicely with the weight of the motor.

From the looks of the "parts for sale" section, I'd say he's parting it out without admitting it to any of us

Nothing yet. I've been trying to find another set of axles and wheels to swap out the stock narrow tracs.
As of this weekend I picked up a TJ Dana 30 with the TeraFlex High steer kit, NP231 t/case, 8.8 w/ls & 4.10's, and a set of 35" MTR's on Rubicon wheels. Still need to get the t/case adapter so I can mock the powertrain up for the third time
So, I need to get all the brackets cut of the new axles, and get them under this thing before I can move on. This is starting to become a little redundant at this point.

You must have read my mind Its hard for me to admit defeat and throw in the towel. I'll be honest......I've thought of it a few times. This build has just come at a bad time for me. I've been trying to juggle a shit load of other things, and the jeep has taken the back burner. Its hard to get back in the groove, and make any serious progress on it, when you only have a few hours a week to work on it. This thing is seriously cutting into my drinking time
Want to buy a CJ5????

Ok ok you are right. Stay with the CJ axles and just sell me that whole TJ setup you just got?

Seriously though, I hear you. My white TJ is a bolt together fix, and I've managed to get about 2 hours this whole week to touch it. Very frustrating indeed.

Stay with it - soon enough you will have something really cool!

I know the feeling all too well. Like all of em, it'll be worth it once it's done and you can use it as intended.

Yeah....Its so I am buying another house and could use the extra cash to have a barn built, so the little guy drew the short straw.
But not 100% yet. Haven't had any offers, and if it doesn't go away in a few weeks it will just go into storage till I have time and room to build it.
