When there was no deal by mid August, the writing was on the wall for at least a month of the regular season being gone. Now I would be surprised if I saw NHL hockey before Thanksgiviving, or even Christmas.

They should just go 50/50 on revenue, it's about the best for everyone. Then set the salary cap floor lower than expected so the broke ass teams can still pay pennies compared to the big boys. Then we go back to the good old days of having some teams being powerhouses while others are just there to participate, and maybe the franchise gets better in the future.

They should just play for an acceptable salary and let the owners make what they make. After all, that's how every other business except sports works.

I have zero sympathy for these players with the money they make.

Agreed.

I'm really upset that this season is locked out because my fantasy teams are awesome!
