Cool My next BIG build

My next BIG build is going to look something like this of course it will need some LED lighting, and a functional drawbridge to make it supper-cool. The top will hold her bed and the inside of the castle will be a learning center with fun games and tons of hiding spots for toys. The stairs will double as a dresser and in time the learning center will have space for a second bed for #2 I am thinking at my current productivity rate in my shop this build will take around 10 months and at least another one to do all the paint. Any thoughts or Suggestions ???

Back in my day we had couch cushions, bed sheets and cardboard to build forts and we liked it!

Great idea, the drawbridge with a little winch does get you some extra cool points. Are you going to make it collapsible so it can built in your garage and broken down etc?

My 5yr old asked me if you would build her one too... I replied "I'm sure he would if you had enough money".

She went and got her piggy bank.

You've had this in the works for over two years! Jeeesh!

I vote that you need to add a moat to it!

Very cool. My daughter is still in a crib so I have a little while for this but im thinking building something like this myself. Cheaper than a decent bedroom set and way cooler. I dont know how I feel about the bed up top though. Sick kids or whatever may pose a challenge but I dont know as its my first kid. I was sort of thinking about a multi leveled thing so the bed still is relatively low if we need to get her in or out with a wall on hinges to make it easy to do so.

Sorry, just thinking out loud. I have seen things like this here and there on the internet but anyone know of a website or something that has more of this stuff for ideas?

FYI For those of you that are not aware. Tractor Supply sells lag bolts by the pound $30 cheaper than Lowes for the exact same bolts
