Default Romney and Ryan in the area tomorrow!

I am surprised that nobody else has posted this.

If I did not have to work tomorrow I would like to go there and see what they have to say!

Go early. I drove by at 7:00 a.m. and there was already gawker delays, and slow downs due to the number of support/prep personnel setting up...

I am not a Romney/Ryan supporter but it would still be cool to go to one of these. When I saw they were coming, I was hoping it would be at Cranbrook so I could run (literally) over there and check it out.

Romney's brother lives a few blocks from me so maybe the candidate will be in the area anyway.

it's tough these days not supporting either major candidate (speaking for myself)

Wednesday I had the hassle of dealing with Biden's entourage (and helping bosses get their pictures they had taken of them off their cell phones so they could e-mail/post them elsewhere)

Today, one of my major/favorite commuting routes will be a clusterfawk all day from the other side.

Anyway, the GIANT American flag hanging in front of the orchard on the south side of Commerce, and one of the Long Family barns on the other side of the stage will make for a nifty backdrop for Romeny/Ryan marketing campaign.

Romney's flight must be about to arrive at the airport in Waterford - I just saw a convoy of a bunch of 12 passenger vans with a large escort of state police and sheriff deputies (and maybe a couple DNR trucks) headed from the county complex up Pontiac Lake Road.

I am a sucker for watching any activity with sirens and flashing lights.

x2. I periodically miss the days of being on the County's damage assessment team for "emergency response & preparedness"

they get a ton of cool toys and gadgets.

that being said, it would be fun as hell to have one of those Parrot AR Drones to fly over today's event

(and fukc the DNR trucks lol )

I just got back and it was HOT. Traffic was jammed packed trying to get out. They had bus load after bus load getting people out.
I would estimate between 8 to 10 thousand people showed up.
Will try and get a few pics up later.

Speeches were good by both Ryan and Romney. Positive talking points about how he intends to get things going in a more positive direction, jobs, economy and using our own natural resources, which our current president has no intention of doing.
