Lots of reputable roofing companies have financing available. Your lender may also be interested in lending you money to fix the roof on THEIR investment. Water leaking through the structure is worse than you know. Everything goes bad.

I replaced the roof on my barn, it's 24x32, with new sheeting, tar paper, shingles, drip edge, fascia, and nails for less than $600.

Business plan: Take the loan, win big at the Indian casino, pay them back with their own money, fix roof, profit.

Absolute truth. 6 years ago now, but with 7/16 sheeting, 20 year shingles, and steel drip and fascia, it was just over $580

I would assume the only people that can get away with 89% interest are indians operating off a reservation. They sure are getting their assets back from the white man at a pretty good clip.

And seriously. "I'm doing my best just to keep the lights on". But hey lets start a build(toy) which will end up costing 5-8k while I swap out buckets every time it rains.Start eating mac&hotdogs until you can get your roof fixed man.

Wth would you take out a loan for your roof when you are paying cash for a toy?It is a cool build and all mind you. But, wow man I thought you had more forethought then that.

A apr of 300%? Wow I'm in the wrong business. I would never sleep at night screwing over people in need like that though. Now stupid people such as yourself who had the means but were just to lazy to use them is a different story.
Well, I sold a toy to pay for the other toy and I've already spent 9k on that and its no where near completion. I'm betting it's going to take another 10k to finish. That money was to be used for that, so to use it to fix my roof would be stupid.

I did try the seal all the roof, but that product sucks the major ass and if my lawsuit goes through I'll have them paying for my roof. But I'm not even sure where thats going. The lawyer told me to give them $3500 so he could start the case and that maxed out my credit card, well one of them. Anywho I haven't heard anything for the lawyer in over a month and he hasn't called me back, which could be good news?

I figured I could take this loan and pay it back with the lawsuit money. Plus I could pay off one of my cards and have $500 left over I could use on the buggy

Call the lawyer. He is working for you. He has an obligation to give you updates on your case, be they good, bad, or otherwise.

$3500 is a very large retainer, I hope he is worth it. Are you suing Green for serving bad Taco's at your place? Mini bike damage to the lawn? Back story man!

Dude, let me repeat this.....you will spend 63,000 in total for borrowing 10,000. Is everything your doing worth 53k to you? If you put that 700 a month aside for 1 year you will have 8,400 saved to fix your roof. HCH, I've never met you and likewise, but trust me when I say this is a very bad business depcision to go in this direction. I have never heard of an APR of 89%.

If you need some money, I have a great deal for you. Its a great 2 acre lot in florida that I pretty much have sold for 30g's. The problem is due to probation I can't leave the state so take that 10g's you borrow, give it to me and then take a quick vacation to florida and you make 20 grand easy. I swear it will work. I will need you to meet me at the corner of pierson/dort when you are ready, I'll be the guy with 2 pitbulls in my car.

Not everone gets the APR of 89%. I talked to them and they are processing the loan. I had to give them 5 people that don't live with me that will say I will pay them back. They let me know the ARP after I get the money and the check with the other people. They said it COULD be as high as 89% but more than likely it will will be much lower. I should have the money in my account Monday by noon. Hopefully I get the lower ARP

I checked into these guys a while back when I first started looking into buying a boat, seems like a decent place to work with.

Since my credit score is what they considered excellent compared to most of their customers at 492 (I'm not really sure what that number means, but from what they told me...it is very good), they were willing to give me a fairly substantial loan for a boat at a discounted interest rate. The amount I'm going to borrow is 35k, and the interest rate was 29cents on the dollar.

What I figured out was... for the 120 month loan of 35k and an interest rate of 29 cents on the dollar...I will only end up paying a total of $1015 in interest for the entire term. ($35000 x .029 = $1015. $35000 + 1015 = $36015. $36015/120 = $300.12 per month). I also plan on paying a little more per month towards the principle (probably at least $10-15 per month), I should be able to cut quite a bit of time off of the loan and pay even less in interest overall.

Their agent is coming over to my trailer this Tuesday to finalize the paperwork, I can't wait to get my boat!
