Default Pics of the USS COD (WWII Submarine in Cleveland)

We stopped in Cleveland on our way back from The Bantam show to check out the USS COD. Its a World War II era Submarime that is docked in the Lake Erie port of Cleveland, Ohio. What an awsome sight to see. The guy's that tend to the sub, and give the tours are some of the nicest people I've ever met. If you ever get a chance to go be sure to stop and take the tour.

Thats a bummer..... I've been to Cleveland a few times, and never seen this before. Just happened to stumble upon it after trying to find parking for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They are supposed to fire the 5" gun during the Labor Day weekend air show Sept. 1-2. They have three of the five engines operational and plan on starting the boat up for the show. Each engine is 1600 hp.

The wife and I toured it in 2008. Its in very nice shape and the people are great to talk to. Would highly recommend visiting it!
