Bones does know his stuff he just didnt own that 6.0 very long.

I agree and I wasn’t. That said the main reason that the engine designs change is because of emissions.

All Cummins are still 24v for what it is worth.

Yup Michigan Technological University

Yes all B series common rail Cummins have two exhaust valves and two intake valves per cylinder. So lets do the math 2+2=4 4x6=24 total valves.

I guess saying all cummins motors are similar to the 24 valves version is kinda true... if the block is all you look at.... I kinda get the feeling that Ben is the kind of guy that stacks 3 or 4 programer on each other and actually thinks his truck is making crazy power. In the end the 6.0 isnt a bad motor if you do some after(empty wallet)market work to it, but why would you want a motor that you know your going to need to dump money into to make it reliable? seems a little backwards to me but its not my money.. I do think its cool that bones could break the mold and actually fix what is said to be unfixable...

p.s I hear if you looking for a good mechanic hallas has a shop in Romeo that is really really respectable and gives out turbo stickers that can blow black smoke.. hahahha

Ok maby b series. But to say all cummins are 24v is not correct.

200K on stock injectors and turbo is bad? Even at 200K, the 7.3L injectors and turbo are in need or rebuild (eventhough the vehicle might still operate without warning lights). Cummins is in the same boat, on passenger vehicle diesels, injectors and turbos are wear items...

I wasn’t implying that it was bad. English isn’t one of my strengths. Contrary to what we both thought, 5 out of the 8 injectors were remans (according to the man that bought my cores) and so was the FICM.

I didn’t think there was anything good about the 6.0 when I bought it and after owning when I still don’t.

I bought it with the intentions of a 12v Cummins conversions.
