Saigas are NOT ak's. Everyone seems to think they are, but they are not. Different internal designs, parts, etc.

Chinese norincos, Egyptian maadis, bulgarians, or polish wz.
Some of the good ones out there.

I don't get into the whole milled vs stamped argument. Both reliable with pros and cons. Get what you like. Get a true double stack. Polished bolt carriers are a big plus. And get the furniture you like.

I have a polish1960 with Warsaw furniture. Us palm battle grip, milled reciever, factory irons . Yes it was imported by cai but that's it. It's s polish parts kit, in a us made reciever and barrel made to original blue prints. Love the gun, paid $590

The faggot thinks milled AK's are a superior design. What do you expect him to contribute?

To start, saigas are available in .308 .410 .223 etc. aks are only eastern bloc cals. Saigas are factory with Monte Carlo stocks. Ak obviously pistol grip. Starter post, lack of bullet guide. Mods needed to run ak mags. Fire control group is different. Hammer is the same, while the disconnect and trigger are different. Underside reinforcement plate on saigas, trigger guard differences, forward hand guard is different, front trunnion and locking collar for lower hard guard. Trigger is actually in a different location and saigas have bolt hold open. Not major things, but they are different. Saigas are sporting rifles originally and usually don't have the heavier bolt carrier needed for full auto. Avtomat kalishnikov does.

Yup. I seriously regret not buying a saiga 308 when they were 400 dollars. I want one bad but they are a little more now.

Glad it didn't sell now, and the conversion is so simple, damn near any noob can get it done.
