Default car stereo/ speaker suggestions

have a 99 ram with the infinity sound. but the front speakers have bit the dust.
- looking for middle of the road 6x9s dont want to spend 200 for a set of speakers.
- need a set of 5.25s for the rear doors as well.
- also would like to replace the tweeters in the pillars as one is blown. i have a kenwood head unit alpine mono amp with kicker l7 12" so i have the bass covered.
i listen to alot of countryl, rock a little rap here and there.

Stay away from oval speakers, if your after sound quality. Sure they're louder but I wouldn't sacrifice sound quality myself. Id go with 6.5's instead of the 6x9s, and some of the high end sets even include an adapter ring to put the 6.5 in the 6x9's spot.

Something like this

Id also try to see if you could fit a 6.5" will fit in place of the 5.25". Most of the time a little trim is all it takes, I've even had some drop right in. Having all the speakers the same size makes tuning a little easier, especially if you decide to throw an amp into the mix. That and 6.5's usually have a higher rms than 5.25s.

Not sure how your tweeter is wired into the kenwood but id assume its tied directly into the front speakers, apposed to the separate channel that it probably (don't know dodges) ran off from the stock radio . At least that's how most diy-ers do it, and that could explain why its blown. Before replacing it I would strongly recommend a set of "bass blockers" to prevent over powering the tweeters. Or you could step up to a component in the door and mount your tweeter in the dash.
