I completely understand and feel the same way, however, this drought that we are having, is also taking place in Britan and China,

If the heat and weather keep up, there simply will not be enough food, so a discussion about +25% or +50% in cost may be totally irrelavent.

They should stop ethonal production now. I know it is a free market. However this is a national security issue. I semi loads lined up at woodbury carbon green every morning. This is the equivalent of burning canned goods right now.

HAHA! This is the second dumbest thing you have ever said. The first was that having twins wouldnt change your life one bit. How do you figure that food costs wont effect you? You will soon have 4 mouths to feed.

You are funnay.

I am not sure if this is factual or a scare tactic but thinking of kids starving makes me sad.

the only people left to buy corn are speculators, end users

everywhere are putting a pencil to this calculation "do i lose

less money by closing, or by operating at a loss?" The higher the

price goes the more people find the answer is to close. So from

this point on it's all about when is it going to rain, and how

much damage will be done by the time it finally does.

corn basis for new crop is rocketing higher ... this reflects what

almost everyone believes will be a very small supply to draw from

in the next crop year.

It could rain for a week straight here and it wouldn't make a difference. The damage is done. We've got fields of corn here that are 50% brown already. There is no saving that.

Battle Creek Area, Holland, Lowell, Dutton area,

All of these areas their are field that are 100% loss.

Does not matter what rain comes the damage is done,

It will be interesting to see what shakes out at the end.
