Default Replacement for 2.5

So since a good/reasonable 2.5 replacement is scarce, would a 4.0 boltt up in place in my 94 yj? How about a 350?... Lol

4.0 swap needs tranmission, computer, wiring, pretty much an entire drivetrain swap. There isn't anything I am aware of that is a direct bolt in for the 2.5... thus me swapping 3 in my TJ so far...

I just had to put a motor in a 97 tj with a 4 popper and used one out of a 93 yj. It worked great. Just make sure you swap everything but the timing chain cover over. The oil pan is different.
