That sucks man! hope you get your hard earned money back. After living in the city for years i learned to not trust anyone! I keep little money in the bank, and plenty of ammo at the house! BTW i dont have any money so dont come around and get killed for nothing!

They got me twice before I escaped them. First I had opened a new account during my divorce and my ex husband knew a teller and got a significant amount of money out of my new account that he wasn't on. They told me that since we were still married it was a divorce dispute so they couldn't reimburse me. So then I closed the account and went to another bank

After I had closed my account they reopened it like a month later to cover a check that I have given to someone over six months before I closed the account. After they covered the check they charged me three bounce fees and then charged me a late fee daily until they notified me by mail, which came like a week later. They were trying to charge me like 200 for covering a 20 dollar check. I told them to take me to court. They didn't have my authority to reopen the account. I think the check was like a gift to someone, and I would have rather just given them a check from a new account. They never did pursue the matter any further

I am with a credit union now

They got me with a check hold. My last student aid check I deposited and they put a 4 day hold on it. I had deposited plenty of checks and they were always in the next day. I racked up around 500 in fees using the card i thought had money on it. I was si pissed I trenched the lawn leaving the bank lol.

We had a car loan through a credit union that messed up and pulled the monthly payment twice from our 5/3 account which led to about $250 in fees. The credit union fixed their double payment but 5/3 didn't cover their fees. 5/3 told us it wasn't their problem and there were no fukcs to give. We went back to our credit union and told them the story and they ended up covering every penny from their mistake. We then withdrew every penny from 5/3 and closed out everything and went over to the credit union. The credit union has taken care of us and has called a couple of times to verify purchases.

So I agree with Kerry: Credit unions FTW

OP, I hope you are able to get it all back!

the only reason why i stayed with 5/3 was because of my good standing with my early access account. it has saved me a few times when i was pay check to pay check and something would come up. the credit union that im also apart of with my wife doesn't offer that but they said they have something in the works.

ALSO THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT IS WILLING TO HELP. if i become that in need i will be so grateful that there are people in the world like you guys. and yes that includes steveo who was the first to offer help.

somewhat good news. they got it down from around $2200 to around $1450 because they reversed my early access to my next paycheck that i'm supposed to get in 2 weeks.

I had a cop from the city I live in wake me up early this morning to tell me that our cottage was broken into, and to call the oscoda sheriffs dept. asap. I have a feeling that after a quick three hour drive, I will also be feeling your pain.

I had my account info stolen also. Unfortunately because i had overdraft protection, once they emptied the checking account they than began drawling money out of my savings account too. I will never use overdraft protection again. I bank with chase and they took care of me and replaced the money in my account.
