I don't need to drive all the way to Drummond Island to park on someone's tires.

well i picked up a good t case finally.bought a dodge 205 and flipping it.will also make it a twin stick.this has been a long decision figuring out a tuff case that will work.was ready to buy an atlas and did some research and found i can flip the dodge 205 and it will bolt right up.it's out of a 90 dodge 1 ton.32 spline outputs and nothing but beef.has a 1410 yoke on the rear and a 1350 flange for the front, thanks kevin for hooking me up.now i need to brace it real good and get the new d shafts built, put my bumps on,mount shawns 43"s and head south...
yes my 42's are for sale, i have 5 of them with a new set of inner air locks and 4 20" rims.will be posted in the for sale section. going to the 43's.i need the extra cushion of the sidewall for the things we wanna do now.undecided if i want a 17" wheel or do a 16.5 h1 wheel.

When is the run down south?
So do I understand it right that you didn't really get much wheeling in on Drummond? Was hoping you could get some practice before going south. But hey, who needs practice? Just point it uphill and peg it.

2 weeks we leave for alabama. i wheeled for 2 days on drummond. had a great time.broke my stock t case in 3 spots sunday night.broke rim, broke rear shaft,(i cant believe t case held all weekend was broke and jb welded before i went)
have to get my bumps on change the ride height in the back a little get the new case in and a few little things and i will be ready.
i was very happy with it jim.i drove it out of the garage and loaded it on the trailer and went to drummond.got a real good feel of it ,how it steers(witch is awesome!) you guys that said it would not steer good are crazy! no drag eather way and i can be wide open going right and crank it right back left.
motor rips.everything works awesome! real happy with how stable it is.just doing some fine tuning before we go south.adding the beef for a tcase and drive shafts and it should be pretty damn tuff.after i break the nv3550 i will put a chevy nv4500 in it and i think i will have one hell of a tuff driveline.

i cant believe how comfortable it is and how nice it drives.can see everything also.it feels like i am in a razor almost..cant believe i built it actually, because it turned out better then i expected. i ran 2 tanks of gas out at drummond so i did get some good seat time.(my tank is 10 gallons because i did run it dry.)

Good to hear and I wish you luck down south.

Now then, here's the question. If you got 2 days of wheeling, why are the only vids posted where you are doing a lame ass tire climb? Where's the good vids?

If you're used to the throttle response of 42's on 20's don't go to 16.5 H1 wheels....WAY too heavy....rotating mass will kill your snappy setup. Stick with a 17"+ aluminum wheel.

i will be running shawns 17" steel wheels and 43's down south. so that will give me a good idea what i want.i want to stick with aluminum if i can.(like you said alot of mass and weight with steel.)definetly will have inner and outer rock rings on whatever i get.

My aluminum wheels are heavier than my steel wheels. Check weight before you rush into assuming that just because it's aluminum that it is lighter.

This too....but he was talking about 16.5 H1 wheels, and I don't think there is any aluminum wheel out there with less than 10 lug holes that is heavier than an 16.5 H1 wheel.....16/35-16.5" Boggers on recentered H1's with cut down mags and rock rings weigh 180lbs each!!
