I know they are not bulletproof and anything can break, but they sure hold up to way more than they probably should. sorry to hear about your carnage on a trip like that.

The good side? The carnage wasn't me.

This was the view outside my window.

Do not lower your skidplate!! I got mine to fit after I knocked up the floorboards a little bit with a BFH.

how heavy are you wheels/tires, mine weigh in at 175 or 185 each can't remember for sure.

I think the locker broke and took out the R&P, but might as well go with more beef if I have to replace the R&P up front....I'll have even more confidence running 10.5" R&P front and rear , icing on the cake to me is that it's an HP front end still, I would't have done it with a LP front end.

I was thinking that too, gotta pull the case back out and put the floor jack under it to see if the floor will move that way otherwise the BFH will come out of hiding (already did that for the old 231 case). I have a JK case and it's much hornier than a TJ version, all sorts of ding dongs sticking out for reinforcing, I'll have to cut a few down.

I figured with your fancy rig you would have updated to a better t-case...

I have no clue what year the JK case is. I started with a TJ case that had both halves broken to pieces (looked like a front end wreck type of damage) but all internals were fine. JK's use a tone ring so the rear tail cone section is different on a JK, all I did was swap the rear cone section from the TJ case onto the JK case halves I got and all is good. All I need to do is trim a few of the casting nobs down to clear my floor board better, but no real mods at all. It's no Atlas but for the price I can't go wrong. Added a Teraflex 2low kit while I was rebuilding it.

I'm not certain if the JK main shaft is the same length or not as a TJ, if it is you "should" be able to pick up the rear tail cone and wheel speed sensor parts from a TJ at the dealer (or JB maybe) and swap those onto the JK case.....but I can't confirm this, I'm sure JB could if they wanted to

i like the rubi case.it has some beef, 32 spline outputs and 4.1. you guys can keep your loud ass, hard shifting, oil leaking atlas...that is 1200 bucks more and only 26 spline stock front output...(unless you got the upgrade)

if i break this i will have a 205 in it.

no sweat, Atlas is to rich for my blood too and this case was a steel and definetly provides some beef (I even got an extra front output shaft on the deal). One thing I was thinking about the JK Case since it does not have a speed sensor the shaft just might be different or you may have to drill a small hole to retain the speed sensor if the shaft is the right length if you want a speedo....see this pic, the tiny little retaining pin. i'm guessing a JK doesn't have this pin since it's a tone ring on the axle.

I stole these pics from this dudes write up on
Naxja
good info in it.....I'm way to impatient to take pics like this while working, I just put the shit together and go, pics after it's done.

slow progress.....lied about my last statement pics with the phone otherwise to lazy to go in and get a real camera

T-case is in, air hammered the snot out of the floor board to make it fit as good as possible. new cross member to seperate it from the skid plate. Rear axle is all tacked up.

Next up pull the fuel tank to notch it out for the 14 bolt and start on the front end.

Did you go with the D60 ARB or the D70 for that Jana76?
