Default Ford 5.4

Have a 2002 Ford Expedition with the 5.4. It apears to have a rod knock. What year 5.4 is ok to use?

For what? Motor swap or just parts?

You have a pi motor 99 and newer f series ran them they can be identified by the plastic intake.
