This is minutes from my house...

I moved to Lansing from Flint and this year started noticing all of this go down. There is a similar group in Flint that operate by Center and 69, I have seen them getting into their car (nicer then what I was driving) at the Target parking lot in Flint before.

The idiots standing on the side of the road don't bother me all that much, but what I am getting annoyed at was whats happening at stores like Meijer's and the Holt Kroger. Three times in the past month, I've had different people approach me trying to sell me presumably stolen goods, giving me some BS sob story about needing a couple bucks for gas to get to the doctors and stuff like that. Brand new digital camera, shaver, and some kitchen gadget so far. I make sure to report them to the store.

I love the story that the 300lb lady "stands" at 96 and Pen, she sits in a wheelchair, what just makes her that much more "pitiful" looking. I could sit on my ass for 9 hrs a day to make a couple hundred bucks, maybe I am in the wrong profession, then again, I have morals. *facepalm*

In the big cities like Chicago they have to buy a license to panhandle . And from what i understand it isnt cheap . So if they can afford that then they dont need to be out on the street corner !
