Default State Mechanic Cert Question

SO I have to get my certs for HD truck for my new job.. my mechanic license has been expired for a couple yrs now. they're saying on the form I cannot pay the late fee and mail it in if its over 12 months. Anybody run into this before ?? they say to call them but they close at 5 when I get out of work.. and god knows how long I'll be on hold if I have to call them while Im at work..

Called the bureau of licensing and regulatory affairs as instructed after mine lapsed for two years. They resend you the renewal (you have to wait) and you pay the standard fee and wait again for your certs to arrive. I had about two months total into getting mine back.

Aaahhh I see. If you want it done faster you need to go to the Lansing office. Huge PITA as well dealing with that one to.
