Default 95 Escort 1.9 timing belt

I'm getting it at less than scrap, suppose to need a timing belt only($11). The one website I found on how to do it says 6-8 hours. I did a top end on one, and I only remember a ~2 hour job. Is thee something I am forgetting or is it a pretty easy job?

I needed to unbolt the engine mount to get the belt off, along with a ton of other stuff, and work mostly through the wheel well. We may still have the Chiltons manual for it. I'll look tomorrow and give you a PM if I find it.

But yeah, it was a pain.

I've done one in a parking lot in about an hr, maybe hr and a half. Easy job.

Yea, but I didn't pull the motor, I had the head off an just dropped the pan and dropped the crank while in the car.
