Any hawks circling overhead? Set up a digital camcorder. Hawks swooping down to snatch up bunnies is awesome!

RIP MOMMY BUNNY
Did you actually see that happen? Or are you just trying to make yourself feel better?

Are their eyes open? if they are they are feeding on their own and should make it as long as a cat or other predator doesn't get them. I ran over a bunch of baby bunnies with the mower once, only three survived. Felt like crap about it(even though I've killed and eaten rabbits before). As far as raised domestic rabbits it may seem cruel, but that's how we always butchered our food rabbits(four legged chickens). Quick and a lot easier than shooting or chopping off the head. Breaking the neck is hard if you don't know how to do it right. Seems brutal but it is the easy way, especially if you do a lot of them.

X2

That would be AWESOME.

My Maine Coon Cat has been bringing decapitated baby bunnies home almost daily for about a week now, so it must be the season...

We had a cat drop a bunny after our dogs chased the cat our of the yard, cat had ripped all the hair of the back of the baby rabbit. Wife wouldn't let me kill it, it died a couple of hours later from shock or internal injuries. Trapped the cat a week later and took it the pound, we have a bunch of strays in our neighborhood. I let my dogs chase them from the yard, they tend to stay away from our end of the block now!! LOL
