My aunt has my uncles Model A sitting in her garage on jack stands, my cousin doesn't drive it, I have asked a few times about putting it in the parade, just to get a chance to drive it.

It will get a new roof, door seals, tires, and interior. Mechanically it will be brought up to spec as well as I can for now. The body we do not plan to touch. Most work will have to happen when we move eventually.

Current picture with some 2N headlights until I can find some originals in better shape than mine. The wife gets it on Saturday.

A couple more, just picked up some 16" wheels for a better ride. Basically a bonus because we only bought them for the tread. This wheel/tire combo has 90% tread and cost me half of a set of new tires/tubes for the 19" wheels.

One day I will get a set of 19's for it.

Some more: Found a visor, seat and had glass cut.

New seat, it was covered by an amateur but the springs are brand spanking new.

Made this for the wife, turned a drive in speaker into a functional speaker she can use at car shows.

Found a visor when I was in MN

It depends on who you talk to and where you are. There seems to be a push for original mostly unrestored/lightly restored cars right now. A friend has a car only a month and a half off of this one in serial number. It also came from the LA assembly plant. The car looks like it could be my cars twin patina and all. He was offered and given $12,500 for it, regretted it and bought it back.

Model A's are IMO a dime a dozen, but most are over-restored in my opinion. The Model A club fanatics are a little kooky to me, and do not like to give out information unless you join the club. The club people always seem to have 3-6 cars hidden in the barn, personally I think the market is going to get flooded over the next 5-10 years as these guys die off.

The other thing is hot rodding, A's are much more affordable than the 32+ cars. Hot rodders are starting to step up to the plate and pay for a good car and the right to cut it up. I have been offered 2 and 3X what I paid for this car, even before I got it assembled. The rat rod guys want the natural patina on this one.

This was a Chinese restaurant, the city got mad about the way the siding looked (it looked fine) so the owner stripped the siding off and revealed the old garage - that is in much worse shape. I think it looks neat though, like a time capsule.

Never heard of that place... I found it at Little Dearborn in downtown MN. A 'classic' auto parts.

I discovered this place a couple months ago. Great people and a very cool shop - a must stop and see if you are ever in MN. They had a good steering box and an original visor for a '29 when I was looking.

They also have some other original parts that are not in the catalog if you ask.

I don't have a photo of the racks behind the counter, but it was long shelves like you used to see years ago, so cool.
