Default egr delete??

I have a 99 f150 with the 4.6. It has a fitting off the manifold that is connected to a tube that runs up to the egr, that has rusted out, instead of spending $150 on 1 fitting and a tube would i be able to just plug that hole and call it good or will it run like shit?

I would not recommend it. EGR gas helps keep cylinder temps down and has a slight improve on mpg. It's not really and emission thing, just something that on that motor I wouldn't go without.

is there a chance you knocked something loose like a plug wire or something...i have done that i once moved a plug wire just enough for it to arc to the exhaust manifold new wires fixed that problem
