Question *Help* Chevy 4X4 aftermarket parts ??

My dad has a 2005 Chevy Z-71 5.3 with very low miles , and wants to keep it and make quit a few mods on it instead of buying a new one , but unlike Jeeps its so hard to find a company that makes everything from lifts to floor mats , anyone have any good places to check out ??

Yeah I totally get what your saying but you dont know my dad , he hates browsing a bunch of different sights , he hates browsing period , and of coarse the things I like he wants something different , he is bacically looking for a sight like Quadratec for Chevy's , just wondering if there was one ?? If not Im gunna have to just kick him in the ass and get him going on it !! He is looking for a one stop shop that sells everything for Chevy trucks , I dont think one exists , thats why I thought one of you guys would know of one ??

theres isnt one just for chevy. chevy has a wide range of customers much like jeep. from the young kid thats into getting stuck in 10 foot deep mud to a old man pulling a cattle trailer on his ranch that loves chrome.

the real question is what does he want out of the truck? if he wants diesel power then i say buy a duramax or 8.1 vortec. i cant say what to look for if i dont know what hes looking to get out of it.

Sounds like your dad should just drop his truck off somewhere if he's that lazy.

I know my shop sells everything, just stop in and get quotes on anything he desires. I know most all shops are like this. Some will even install everything for you. It's one stop shopping, but most places don't stock everything so it may be a day or two to get it.

Yeah my dads not lazy by no means , he just hates the computer !! And I told him we are just going to have to go down to an off road shop and see whats available for his truck !! He wants to do all the work himself , so it would just be ordering the stuff through a shop , I was just hoping someone knew of a company that he could look at and compare prices and looks on everything , but its looking like there is no such place !! Bummer !!

You could show him a Summit catalog but even that would be the tip of the iceberg since they show the more popular stuff. Even a J.C. Whitney book would be a start.

Have him sit with you and Google things and see what he thinks.

Dont get me wrong he is not trying to make a bogger out of it , he just wants it to look like a Truck , but not lose that Cadillac ride !! So he was talking about new poly bushings , a 4" lift that reuses the the stock tortion bars and rear leafs , probably a 33 - 12.50 BFG A/T , maybe rims or spacers for now if he can get away with it , window (rain) deflecters , bud deflecter , chip or programer for the engine , cold air intake system , cat back exhaust , nerf bars , fender flaires , better rotors & brake pads , a gps radio , stuff like that !! And Im sure more will come up as we get into it !!

See that what I was asking for.
  • N fab nerf bars are top notch! Allows you to step up to reach in the bed as well as cab
  • Blackbear or efi tuning
  • Aem intake
  • Bds lift is top of the line an as you know a Michigan company.
  • Good year duratrak tires. Haven't heard a bad thing yet!!!
  • I'd go to any exhaust shop to get a custom exhaust of cat back for the same price
  • brakes will be more then efficient on 33s for what he wants to do.
  • bushwhacker flares are there is for the trucks but pricey....the rest are junk. I have yet to find better but I may stand corrected on that subject matter.
  • needs some husky floor liners if he wants a truck!

Thanks guys getting some good info here !!

The thing with the brakes is that his rotors are already warped and the pads could use a change , so he doesnt want to go bigger or anything , he just figured if he is going to get all new , it might be worth it to spend a little extra and get better made ??

And for the floor mat comment - yes he uses it like a Truck , thats why he is looking for a good floor mat that holds all the crap in them !!
Which brings me to another question , do they make inner door sill skuff plates for that truck ?? Never seen them ??

See for a Jeep I'm good to go , but I dont want to give him bad advise on his Chevy Truck !! Thats why I wanted to do a little digging first , thats where you guys come in
