I don't think he's an Idiot. I just think he's passionate about what he says and sometimes that gets him in trouble.

With Hancho being so particular about who can speak for who (no matter how obvious it is that it's just your opinion), I thought I'd clarify. .

You're talking about the same guy that believes every conspiracy theory that he's "told" to.

But try to get some of the christians on here to be open minded enough to have this view point.....

Just because I post it does not mean I believe it. I throw it out there for others to read. Do you believe everything you post? Or post to see what others think?

Which is no different then yours, if we want to be all post modern thinking. What you think is common sense isn't for some people. IE, One of the guys at camp doesn't know how to check his oil. He's 30 something. You would probably say Changing the oil is common sense, For him.....It's not. Our experience has a huge factor in what we see as common sense and why we believe things that we do. Christians are not unique in this.

I know of plenty of Non-Christians that need the same open mindedness. Especially towards Christianity.

You are making the assumption that someones marriage is in jeopardy because both parties have made a conscience decision to use porn to spice things up. Or is the destruction one sided... As in one side watches porn and the other doesnt? If the latter is the case, its not the porn that is the problem.

There are many forces at work trying to pull anything and everything apart. IMO, porn is the least of them. Money, jobs, kids... These are the real issues that can tear apart relationships. We do not currently have a generation or two living below poverty and on assistance because they watched porn.

Similar in process, not outcome. Your last sentence is downright scary. Hitler, Mao, Stalin had this line of thinking. THATS why some are against being preached to. To often the stance is taken "there is only one way" and most people don't like to be told what to do.

No, knowing how to change oil is not common sense.

They don't like to be told what to do because they have a problem with authority and that is being disobedient. It usually starts with kids not listening to parents and sticks with em through life. Some accept it and some will not bend to being told what to do by anybody.

this sounds like you...even though you have been proven to be wrong, you won't admit that...and to me that is just as bad

Maybe you can tell me were I've been wrong. We all have faults and opinions. I am no different then the rest. It does seem to be that Christians are held to a higher standard because of guidelines we follow. When we do mess up people seem to jump all over it.

I totally agree. The purpose of this sermon was to show that a porn addiction can harm a marriage.

Once again, I think the purpose of this sermon was to show that it CAN be a problem and why.

Stalin, Hitler, Mao all thought that our brains develop the same? I was merely saying that it's not so much opinion that our brains develop the same.

Do you, at least, understand what my point was? Common Sense is just like opinion. It's based in experience.

Don't have time for a 45 minute sermon, or to read 8 pages of , but if anything hurts my marriage, it sure as hell won't be porn. Dickhead thief stepkids, ambien addled wife, money missing from bank account, and so on- that hasn't ended it so I highly doubt porn will make a dent.
