its just a 3/8ths bolt. so im sure i could find something. I think alot of the problem is the frame flexing outwords and constantly tugging on them.

Can you fit a crossmember under the motor? That would likely help the situation, too.

not easily, the jeep speed guys can very easily but they run 5+ inches of lift generally, i have 1.5 inches or so.

If i have time before the next race im going to try and do something.

I got all of the bolts out and the engine side motor mount back in, but cant for the the life of me get the bushing mount lined up. Im thinking the jeep is more bent than anticipated.

Tranny tom got my trans done so that is ready to go in we plan on installing the trans so we can use it as a lever to "adjust" the motor mount issue

took the jeep to the scales today, its a little heavier then we were hoping. 3600 pounds, with we think around a half tank of fuel and camron in the jeep. we were shooting for 3300 or so with hopes that we removed enough weight to compensate for what we added.

They broke a u Joint on the first lap, Camron ran back to the pits to get parts while Casey started tearing it apart. They got it fixed and I believe they were able to work their way up into second place.

Ford Flareside introduce your self next time as i am bad with faces and names. i still call greg "johnyquest guy" and i call grassman well "grassman". and then we call the guy in the samuri "home made coilover guy"

copied from the picture thread.

"Our 4-1-12 Race recap

We were third into the first corner, with our new lower first gear i found it harder to carry speed from the 1-2 shift so we were not able to capture the hole shot.

Through out the first lap we were in slower b class traffic but managed to pick off about 5 of them.

coming up on the end of the first lap we broke a rear ujoint, we dont know if this was caused by axle wrap or loosing a cap due to a clip failing. Camron immediately ran for the pits to get extra tools and a spare u joint, while i remained with the jeep and started to get the rest of the old joint out. by the time we got the new joint in the leaders in c class were almost lapping us for the second time so we were close to two laps down.

When we got the jeep moving again it was decided that we were going to sprint to the end and not worry whether the jeep would hold together. At one point we found our self in third gear on the rev limiter driving down the old access road towards the back side of the quarry( bill can contest to how bumpy this is). The jeep help up great and we ended up gaining a lap and a half back and finished a few minutes behind first place.

2nd place was a great accomplishment after breaking on the first lap."

Corner weights

with us in the jeep

3961 total
LF 1098
RF 1083
LR 930
RR 849

we are 55.7 percent front bias, so we are going to move the battery farther back and put the jack as far back as we can also.
