Default west siders - repocast auction

I know a lot of you already frequent this site, but I thought a few more might be interested who were not in the know:

http://auction.repocast.com/items.cf...rice=&maxprice=

Looks to be about 85 weapons/accessories going up on the block this week.

You can pre-bid anytime between now and the auction, and I believe you have 7 days to pick up the merchandise after you win the bid.

Just a word of caution: Repocast (Miedema) does a poor job of describing the problems or issues with a lot of their stuff. It's highly recommended that you inspect anything they list before you bid on it.

You have 7 days after the auction ends to pick stuff up. If you don't pick it up in 7 days they start tacking on a storage fee. I don't recall how much it is. I pick up the day after the auction. Too many times I've waited to pick stuff up and it disappears.

I know you can pre-bid but I would rather do it in real time.

This....

I won a Volvo V70r there a couple of years ago. When I picked the car up the interior was loaded with mold, you could smell it as soon as you opened the door.

The manager wanted to argue that he had no idea what mold smelled like so it wasn't his problem. Should I have inspected it? Of course, but anybody who went near it could see and smell it. It was left out of the description.

That was the second and last vehicle that I'll get from them. Besides, their system allows all sorts of retards to bid on shit without paying week after week.

It depends. The problem with them is their system won't weed out the same people who constantly bid on shit without paying. I've seen the same people bid on shit week after week without ever paying...they just keep relisting whatever it is.

The V70r I won there was actually up for auction 3 times before I won it, and was generally up around $3k every time with the same fucking jackasses bidding it up. On the 4th time it was up I got it for $550. Aside from getting a moldy car, it was a steal.

I've seen some really cool shit go dirt cheap and then trash go for some outrageous prices. You're at the mercy of the other morons bidding on shit. The opening prices for just about everything are relatively low.

Be aware of the extra fees you have to pay at the end.

I usually go and inspect anything that I'm going to bid on, before I bid. That is why I posted West Siders in the title.

I was bidding on one of the antique rifles, but someone kept sniping my bids right before the auction was to end, so their system just adds 10 more minutes. I gave up after it happened three times, and he ended up getting a really good deal. I should have bid it up, but I wanted the good deal.
