Default Are you fiscally conservative and socially liberal?

The Libertarian party may, someday, become a viable third party.

It's a bit long for those of you with A.D.D. but it's a good read....

No political party is perfect, but my views are closer aligned with Libertarian views than any other party's.

But yeah, the Libertarian party seems to be closest to what I believe.

As long as we keep using plurality to elect our officials our politics will be dominated by only two parties.

Seriously though, Libertarians are considered more republician leaning than democrat, and tend to vote that way too.

Evidence in the news.....

http://nationaljournal.com/crook.htm

I'd consider them one step above either party. Too bad they can't find a reasonable candidate. Like I said, maybe someday.

Thing is, you have to remember that these are polar opposites in the view of most conservatives:

Unborn babies are innocent and deserve the right to live;
Convicted killers are guilty and deserve the right to die.

Funny as it sounds, for some people, it is as cut and dried as that.

i know. but the same underlying theme, "killing". If you support one, you should support the other.

Yep, I definitely understand what you're saying. I'm pro-choice and support the death penalty only as a measure of economics, not because of an eye-for-an-eye mentality.
