Went down the road good at 60(gps). Had low air pressure so wobbled a little from tires. But handled good and stopped well. Speedometer is 10mph higher than actual according to gps. top speed was 67 in the stretch of road I was working with.

I suppose a little bit of wobble and vibration would be normal from unbalanced 38.5/14.5/15 TSL sx's on DIY beadlocks .

Did you get a chance to check the front driveshaft to exhaust with the LF compressed?

I know my little B2 on 35's aint quiet in the same league as this truck but I will forever swear by adding powersteering fluid inside my homemade driveshafts and airsoft pellets in my tires. Mine had all kinds of vibrations before and now you would think you were riding in a stock truck. Since I drive the shit outa mine the little things like vibrations bug the hell outa me so I was willing to try anything {100miles a day}

My old man, who's truck this is, wants to start driving it the 20mile round trips to work this summer. His diesel is really not worth driving that distance. He's gonna switch to a radial, balanced, tire and go from there.

I;ve always wanted to build a sport trac. Drop a 5.0L in from an explorer in, SAS the front with tons and 4d's. One rig I have always wanted to build. But sport tracs pull so much damn $ and its hard to find them at a decent price.

I'm amazed how much they go for. I got mine for $6000 for a 2001. The guy was asking $6400 but cash talks. It had 84k miles and has been a great truck. Someday when I get the wife something new this may happen!

X2

There was a 2004 on cl that was wrecked front and rear, but still drove. Would have been a sweet sport-Truggy project.

Yeah I have been looking now and then in hopes of finding a blown motor or trans for under $2k or maybe a rear end collision. But can't ever seem to find any deals on them.

I don't have the cash so if you're interested, I have the guys email. I think he's parting it out now. Could probably get the frame and cab for a decent price.

Seemed to work good, it was taken out to a buddy's place and played with. Only problems that surfaced was a bolt head rubbing the Left coil spring and the owner hates the manual trans. But we knew the manual trans wasn't gonna last. I don't think anybody got any pics though.

That was one of the issues with the softer springs, they bow quite a bit more.

did some up grades to the explorer the past couple of months. i broke the steering gear box so when i had it off realized that the frame was starting to buckle on the drivers side. i ended up plating both sides of the frame rail.

The factory track bar mount was cracking so i built a new one- shouldn't have a problem its 3/16 plate. also had to get an adjustable track bar

some how the 9 inch 3rd member cracked and it was blowing oil out of it so i bought a axle that was set up the same for spool and gears and swapped it in. it had disc brakes so i also installed them. i had to get one inch wheel spacers because of how the wheels were made.

Did you have to upgrade the master to get good brake pressure?
