Well figured its about time i throw my 1965 FC 170 up here. Started the build last year, striped it to the frame, put a AMC 327, TH400, dana 20/18 in it, built all new suspension brackets, put dana 44s in out of a 79 j10, made a bed, tons of stuff. Im in the great lakes maritime academy and was out on a container ship for a few months so most of the work up until i left was just to get it so that i could move it around the yard and what not, now that i am back i have started to redo most of everything, adding full hydraulic steering, 12si alternator swap tons of body work, fuel cell move radiator down and forward a bit. Thats all i feel like writing about it this morning i have different build thread here for it,

That thing is goofy looking and cool all at the same time.

What is the end goal for tire size?

For tire size id like to be running 37 baja claws but we will see maybe some 36" iroks. When i get the body work done, im putting in a solid floor strait across from the passenger side to the drivers side getting rid of the hump in the middle and where the hump was im going to move the battery, a fuze box some of the wiring, stuff for the hydraulics, maybe a few other things then have a cover for that, make a new dog house, make a new custom dash and switch panel, im taking the windshield out and fixing the rust around that, doing the wheel wells with one peice of sheet steel, and other body work on the bottom half. When i do the windshield here in a few days i plan on most likely cutting the top off for a bit (that way it will fit in the garagage and i can work on the bottom half and stuff where its warm), back in the day colorodo had tour jeeps like these with removable tops and id like to do that with a internal cage and a few other things that will take to much time to write now. As far as more of the frame showing now that is just temporary really, when i get the fullsize tires on im going to have fenders and tool boxes in between the rear fenders and the cab in the open space that will hide alot of the frame, maybe make some of the trim pieces like the original bed (around the bottom of the bed was sheet steel boxs that hid the frame) because im not a huge fan either. I have lots of big plans its just a matter of time and money lol.

I think it would look better with the original bed restored.

Original bed was cobbled and Swiss cheese would have kept it otherwise.
